Tour de France 2010 in Ariège:
Stages 14 & 15, Sunday 18 and Monday 19 July
Finish at Ax 3 Domaines and Start at Pamiers
The Tour de France will pass through a large part of Ariège in 2010, including many major towns, including Ax-les-Thermes, Mirepoix, Pamiers and St Girons as well as Carla Bayle and Le Mas d'Azil. Sunday, July 18 Stage 14 will see the peleton struggle up the Col de Pailhères and finish at the ski station at Ax 3 Domaines. On Monday July 19 Stage 15 will start in Pamiers and wind through the foothills over to Saint Girons and then on towards the Col de Portet d'Aspet and finishing in Luchon. When looking for accommodations for that period, be aware that many hotels and bed and breakfasts will refuse reservations for single night stays.
